Diagnosis and treatment of intussusception due to multiple jejunal lipomas

Adult intussusception is an unusual and cha llenging disease in clinical practice. There is usually a primary disease in adult intussusception, both malignant and benign. Small intestinal lipoma is rare and is mostly found when it cause intussusception. In December 2011, an adult patients with intussusception caused by multiple jejunal lipomas was admitted to the Changhai Hospital of Second Military Medical University. The results of computed tomography showed a distinct “target sign” with circle area of thick low density. Adult intussusception should be treated scrupulously according to certain diagnosis and treatment procedures.
