Abstract
Hepatectomy is the most important radical treatment for primary liver cancer, but postoperative liver function injury remains a key issue that seriously affects prognosis of patients. Based on evidence‑based medicine, the Society for Hepato‑pancreato‑biliary Surgery of Chinese Research Hospital Association and Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Digestive Surgery have organized multidisciplinary experts from relevant fields in China to develop the Expert consensus on multidisciplinary management of perioperative liver function protection in primary liver cancer (2026 edition) through deliberation and revision. It systematically elaborates on the comprehensive pre-operative assessment, precise intraoperative resection, postoperative monitoring, multidisciplinary management, and related interventions, aiming to provide guidance for clinical practice and improve patient prognosis outcomes.
