Abstract
Hepatectomy is one of the important radical treatment modalities for primary liver cancer. However, perioperative malnutrition can increase the risk of postoperative complications and shorten patient survival. Implementation of perioperative nutritional management can effectively improve adverse outcomes in patients. To assist clinicians and healthcare professionals in conduc-ting nutritional management more scientifically, precisely, and effectively, the Hepatobiliary Tumor Integrated Nursing Committee of China Anti‑Cancer Association and the China Anti-Cancer Association Committee of Liver Cancer organize 47 multidisplinary experts from 33 hospitals to develop the Expert consensus on perioperative nutritional management for patients undergoing hepatectomy for primary liver cancer (2025 edition). This consensus focuses on setting energy-protein targets for liver cancer patients, differentiated intervention strategies for special populations undergoing hepatectomy, and the use of specific nutrients, aiming to provide a reference framework for the perioperative nutritional management of patients with primary liver cancer.
