Abstract
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), as an important dia-gnostic and therapeutic technique for complex pancreatobiliary diseases, has been used in clinical practice for nearly 60 years. However, the management model for ERCP day surgery is still in the exploratory stage and urgently requires the establishment of standardized consensus. The authors provide an in‑depth interpretation of the development background, key elements and significance of the Expert consensus on the management of ERCP day surgery in China (2025 edition), with the aim to assist healthcare professionals in relevant fields to better understand the necessity and advantages of ERCP day surgery management, grasp the patient admission criteria and procedural guidelines, optimize treatment outcomes, and improve patient satisfaction, ultimately promoting the further advancement of pancreatobiliary endoscopic diagnosis and treatment in China.
