Chinese reference standard of conversion therapy center construction for liver cancer (2024 edition)

Primary liver cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer‑related mortality in China. As an important progress in recent years, conversion therapy has become the main way for long‑term survival of patients with intermediate-advanced liver cancer with the gradual improve-ment of theoretical system. To achieve the goal of "Healthy China 2030", it is particularly important to promote the construction of cancer centers, which can provide a guarantee for standardized clinical diagnosis and treatment. Although there is still a lack of experience in the construction of conversion therapy centers, the cancer center construction experience of European and American countries and other cancer types provides reference value. This article discusses the necessity, objectives and considerations of center construction, aiming to bring thoughts to the standardized model of center construction, promote the development of conversion therapy and improve the survival rate of liver cancer patients.
