Abstract
Pancreatic pseudocyst (PPC) is one of the common local complications of acute and chronic pancreatitis. Clinicians′ understanding of PPC has been continuously refined and impro-ved, and the treatment methods have also shifted from open surgery to minimally invasive interven-tions. However, there is still no standard treatment method. In previous studies, surgical treatment occupied a central position among the treatment methods for PPC. With the development of endo-scopic minimally invasive techniques, the proportion of surgical treatment has gradually decreased. From the perspective of a surgeon, the authors review the surgical history of PPC and discuss the status and development trend of surgical treatment for PPC by combining the literature and the experience of the team.
