Current status and challenges of clinical nutrition

Through the practice and researches in the past more than half a century, especially the rapid development of evidence-based medicine and precision medicine in recent years, the concepts of clinical nutrition have constantly been updated and improved. Currently, researchers have a new understanding on the connotation of malnutrition, the role of nutritional support therapy, the choice of parenteral and enteral nutrition, the implementation and management of nutritional support therapy and other hot issues in clinical nutrition. These new concepts will bring more practice, research and technological progress, drive clinical nutrition into standardized and precise direction, and ultimately better protect human health.
