Abstract:
                                      Objective The purpose of Expert Consensus on Follow‑up Management after Bariatric Metabolic Surgery (2025 Edition) (hereinafter referred to as the Consensus)is to promote the construction and development of follow‑up management after bariatric metabolic surgery, to make the postoperative follow‑up management more complete and standardized, and to provide reference for clinical practice.
Methods The best evidence for the management of postoperative follow‑up after bariatric metabolic surgery was developed through systematic literature search and clinical experience to form the first draft; a total of 2 rounds of expert correspondence were conducted using the modified Delphi method, in which 145 and 130 experts were invited to evaluate and discuss the results, respectively, and the final draft was formed after summarizing and revising the results.
Results This Consensus includes 6 aspects of postoperative follow‑up management, including frequency of postoperative follow‑up and program management, nutritional management, female fertility management, postoperative complication management, exercise management, and psycholo-gical management.
Conclusion Combining the evidence from the literature, expert opinions and clinical reality, the establishment of the Consensus can provide a reference basis for the follow-up management after bariatric metabolic surgery.
