Abstract: Because of high morbidity and mortality, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has become a serious crisis-related-to the health of the whole people. There are many treatment methods for HCC. In recent years, the rise of immunotherapy has provided a new weapon for the treatment of HCC, and its practical value has been more and more recognized and concerned. The immunotherapy for HCC has experienced from the initial cytotoxic drugs and small molecule inhibitors to the present immunosuppressive checkpoint inhibitors, and the mode of promoting tumor therapy has been changed greatly. At the same time, we should pay attention to the management of immune related adverse events, improve the comprehensive treatment level of HCC through the establishment of multi-disciplinary diagnosis and treatment team, and fundamentally improve the efficacy and benefit of patients.
