Abstract:
Laparoscopic functional single loop type jejunum interposition for the radical resection of cancers at the esophagogastric junction or the fundus of the stomach is safe, feasible and can prevent reflux esophagitis and dumping syndrome. From January 2011 to January 2013, 12 gastric cancer patients received laparoscopic functional single loop type jejunum interposition at the General Hospital of Lanzhou Military Region. No patient died perioperatively. There was 1 patient complicated with anastomotic bleeding and was cured by conservative treatment. All the patients were followed up for 6 months, no anastomotic fistula, stricture, bile or food reflux, malnutrition or dumping syndrome was detected, and satisfactory postoperative results was achieved.
