Abstract: Transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) is a new technique emerging in the field of colorectal surgery in recent years. It can solve some difficult problems of traditional open and laparoscopic surgery, and achieve good short-term clinical results. It is becoming more and more popular among colorectal surgeons in China.In the world, TaTME related database construction, structured training, and clinical research are almost synchronized with its clinical practice. How to analyze the problems existing in the clinical practice of TaTME operation nationwide, improve the safety and effectiveness of the technology, guide its structured training, and clinical research, and build and maintain the nationwide TaTME registry database is a very effective way, but it needs a strong organizational and management framework.
