Abstract: Gastric cancer is a major public health issue both in China and globally. Streng-thening international collaboration can drive innovation and the widespread adoption of gastric cancer treatment technologies, raise public awareness of gastric cancer screening and prevention, and improve therapeutic efficacy of gastric cancer worldwide. Ultimately, this will enhance the survival rate and quality of life of gastric cancer patients globally. In recent years, China has made significant progress in gastric cancer research and clinical prevention and treatment. However, many challenges remain, particularly the fact that most newly diagnosed gastric cancer patients in China are at an advanced stage, and overall treatment efficacy still needs improvement.Enhancing interna-tional cooperation and exchanges plays a crucial role in this process. The author provide a systema-tic overview of the history and current status of international collaboration in gastric cancer preven-tion and treatment in China, the challenges and countermeasures of international cooperation, and prospects in the future, aiming to further drive medical research and innovation.
