Abstract:
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) has become a vital technique for the diagnosis and treatment of biliary and pancreatic diseases, with widespread application globally. In recent years, ERCP day surgery management has been more popular in the European and American countries. Several studies have also reported the outcomes of ERCP perfor-med under a day surgery model in China, which is still in the stage of clinical exploration, waiting for the further consensus and standardization. Therefore, the Professional Committee of Pancreatic Disease of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and Endoscopic Surgery Group, Digestive Endoscopy Branch, Chinese Medical Association, as well as Endoscopic Surgery Expert Working Group of Chinese College of Surgeons have established an expert group to develop
Chinese expert consensus on the management of ERCP day surgery (2025 edition) based on the latest evidence. This consensus provided 21 recommendations focusing on the seven aspects concerned ERCP day surgery, with the aiming to standardize the implementation of ERCP day surgery in China, improve healthcare service quality, and enhance patient outcomes.
