Abstract:
Auxiliary liver transplantation (ALT) preserves autologous liver function and is of great significance for the treatment of acute liver failure and genetic metabolic diseases. ALT can also utilize small volume liver grafts and domino liver grafts, to alleviate the insufficiency of donor livers in clinical practice
. The Clinical Application Guidelines for Auxiliary Liver Transplantation (2024 Edition) provides recommendations on strategies for ALT application and key issues in clinical prac-tice based on existing clinical evidence and expert opinions, aiming to guide clinicians in the rational use of ALT and improve patient prognosis while enhancing technical capabilities.
