Abstract:
Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor with morbidity and mortality ranking the third in China. Surgical treatment is an important therapy to improve the prognosis of patients. Robot‑assisted surgery, as a minimally invasive technique, has experienced rapid development in China in recent decades, but has also caused a lot of controversy. In recent years, a large number of high‑quality clinical studies have been carried out in Asian countries, mainly in China, Japan and South Korea, to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of robot‑assisted gastric cancer surgery. The authors summarize the above research results and their work experience with robot‑assisted gastric cancer surgery. We believe that robotic surgery will be widely used in the treatment of gastric cancer with the continuous progress of technology.
