Abstract:
The publication of
Expert consensus on quality control of the laparoscopic radical resection for gastric cancer in China (2017 edition) has standardized the clinical practice of operation technique, improved the operative safety and quality, and facilitated the operative homogenization of laparoscopic gastric cancer surgery to some degree. As the accumulation of new evidences, it is necessary to update the 2017 edition of consensus. The
Chinese expert consensus on quality control of the laparoscopic radical resection for gastric cancer (2022 edition) is generated based on the currently available and best clinical evidence, the latest global guidelines or consensuses, and the agreement from the Chinese expert panel. The present consensus focuses on the key points of preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative quality control for laparoscopic gastric cancer surgery and provides several recommendations, including the preoperative accurate staging, operative risk and indication assessments, intraoperative surgical procedures, postoperative management of specimens, patholo-gical report and follow‑up,
etc.
