Abstract:
Portopulmonary hypertension (POPH) is a disease characterized by elevated pulmonary artery pressure, increased pulmonary vascular resistance, and normal pulmonary capillary wedge pressure on the basis of portal hypertension. Liver transplantation is one of the effective treatments for POPH. Currently, there is still a lack of guidelines for the perioperative period of POPH in China. Based on evidence-based medical evidences obtained from researches of this fields at home and abroad, and combined with clinical practice in China, the Perioperative Management Group of Chinese Society of Organ Transplantation from Chinese Medical Association and Organ Transplantation Perioperative Management Professional Committee of Chinese College of Surgeons from Chinese Medical Doctor Association formulate the
Chinese expert consensus on perioperative management of liver transplantation in patients with POPH (2021 edition). This consensus forms standardized contents on the preoperative general treatment, preoperative evalua-tion, intraoperative management, prevention and treatment of postoperative complications of liver transplantation in patients with POPH, with the aims to enhance the diagnosis and treatment level during the perioperative period, improve the prognosis.
